About UPAY (Under Privileged Advancement By Youth)

Area of Focus

• To provide free of cost education to needy children.
• To increase awareness about Education.
• To provide Skill Development & job oriented Training
• To enhance skill among the children through innovative Teaching Techniques

Program / Activities

• Classes for Class 1st to 12th students every evening in UPAY centers
• Free Library & Health Check- Ups
• Footpath Shala- Two Centers in Nagpur

Working Projects

• Currently UPAY has 9 centers (7 in Maharashtra, 2 in Uttar Pradesh) with 620 students
• APNASAAMAN.com - Direct interface between poor artisans and buyers by e-Commerce Initiative

Impact

• Where only 5% children used to pass the 10th class exam, now UPAY students clear 10th and 12th Board exams with 100% success.
• Highest % in 10th class exam increased to 87% from less than 70% earlier
• 125 students pursuing various graduation courses

Staff & Volunteer Details

• 100 volunteers , 20 paid teachers , 9 center coordinators
• 42 Engineers from NTPC Mauda are volunteers
